The US is testing a top-secret hypersonic plane to perform better than the SR-72

Hermeus’ hypersonic Quarterhorse jet might just be the jet of the future, possibly retiring even Lockheed Martin’s jet of the future – the hypersonic SR-72 – before it sees the light of day.

The Quarterhorse has broken new grounds and the United States Air Force is more than impressed. So much so that they’ve awarded the start-up company a $60-million contract to flight-test the Quarterhorse.

This engine configuration means the Quarterhorse would perform effortlessly well at whatever speeds – be it the relatively low commercial airline speeds of today or at hypersonic speeds that would leave even fighter jets in the dust.

Boeing has been awarded a $32 million contract by the US Army to remanufacture AH-64 Apache attack helicopters

The Boeing Co., Mesa, Arizona, was awarded a $32,577,153 modification (P00082) to contract W58RGZ-16-C-0023 to incorporate a directed change order for the remanufacture of twelve Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopter and six-part numbers for the tail rotor blades. Work will be performed in Mesa, Arizona, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 1, 2024. Fiscal 2021 aircraft procurement (Army) funds in the amount of $33,040,693 were obligated at the time of the award . U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contract ing activity. The SA 321 “Super Frelon” (Super Frelon) is a three-engine medium multi-purpose helicopter developed by the French state-owned Aerospace Industries. It is developed from the smaller SA 320 “Wasp” helicopter . Birth History The “Super Hornet” was developed in 1960 by the French state-owned Aerospace Industries Corporation at the request of the French military.
